Q: Could you explain the motivation and goal of your work? What motivates you now, and how did it all start?
Ahmed Al Mahmood:
My dream is, as you may know, “To Create and Develop Every Leader.” It’s more than just a catchphrase; it’s what motivates me to get out of bed in the morning. I have a strong desire to see people realize their full potential and develop into the greatest leaders they can be. How? Through imparting the methods and strategies I’ve developed over the course of many years of experience—what I refer to as “excellence methodological standards.”
I began by working in training at the Abu Dhabi National Bank in 2004. To be honest, success seemed like a far-off fantasy at the time. However, I persisted, lowered my head, and trusted my self-belief and enthusiasm for training to lead the way. Furthermore, what do you know? It was profitable. My vision has changed over the last 22 years as a result of my experiences and the amazing individuals I’ve met.
“Training is the mother of all skills” and “You have to start by leading their strategy if you want to lead companies” are the two things I usually tell people. These are the tenets that have guided me during my journey, and I think they may assist anyone who is prepared to work hard.
Q: What are some of your greatest achievements, and what are your plans for the future?
Ahmed Al Mahmood:
Throughout my career, I’ve had the honor of working on a number of really interesting projects. For example, I have been tasked with developing strategic plans, or blueprints, for major government sectors in Sharjah that outline further improvement.
I worked with the tourism department in Ajman to create a strategic map that was so good it took the first evaluated position throughout the other competitive sectors! We worked as a true team by the order and support of guidance of His Highness Shaik Abdu Aziz Al Nuaimi , and by direct line manager Ms.Hamda Al Matrooshi, and it feels wonderful to have had an impact. Developing the first Agile Model for the public and private sectors is one of my greatest accomplishments. It’s a novel approach that is more adaptive and flexible, and it has shown to be quite successful with seven government and private sectors.
However, I won’t stop there! I’m constantly searching for fresh challenges. My next major objective is to supporting UAE nationals , and assist even more North African and GCC governments in realizing their full strategy and excellence potential. I’m especially interested in the expansion and success of private enterprises and family firms. There’s a vast world to explore, and I’m excited to see what we can achieve together.
Q: How can contemporary businesses guarantee excellence in business? What suggestions do you have?
Ahmed Al Mahmood:
Let’s face it: today’s business world has its many challenges. You need to have standards if you want to thrive rather than just exist. Consider them as rules of the game.
Standards are about raising the bar; they’re not merely about checking boxes. They guarantee that you consistently provide excellent goods and services to be assessments continuously. A business with no standards? It resembles a house with weak foundations built in sand.
What, therefore, ought businesses to prioritize? To begin with, you must organize your financial affairs. And then there’s technology, which you need to keep up with or risk falling behind. Naturally, you also need to maintain your clients’ satisfaction.
However, there is one more important factor segment that is frequently disregarded in companies: staff training. Your employees will succeed if you invest in them and provide them with the tools they need to succeed. A win-win scenario exists.
Q: What has been the most interesting experience in assessing corporates?
Ahmed Al Mahmood:
The most interesting experience is companies assessment site visit operation. That is the challenge for companies to prove them self on front of the assessors in the follow categories: leadership, strategy planning implementation, businesses deployment , and the connection to it quality life of employees and society .
However, the assessments also put the firms to the test, so it’s not just about me learning. They must respond to challenging inquiries and demonstrate that they are not only abiding by the regulations but exceeding them.
It’s showtime for the companies when we visit their locations. They need to prove that they’re not merely outstanding, but also headed towards being real industry pioneers. Moving from excellence to competitiveness, and ultimately to that ground-breaking, pioneering level, requires a great deal of strategic thought and labour. But the reward is well worth it, I promise!

Training and knowledge is like this secret power, let me tell you. That’s how you find your true passion and areas of expertise. The problem is that it’s not always simple. It requires a great deal of commitment and perseverance, especially when you encounter those unavoidable setbacks.
But it’s worth it, I promise. It’s been said that your actual potential begins to unleash after 10,000 hours of practice. At that point, you begin to produce something truly remarkable and original.
