Burj Azizi Dubai

Spotlight on the Pioneering Projects in the UAE—This Year too Dubai Leads

Offering a plethora of state-of-the-art mega projects, the UAE is already the ‘talk of the town’ this year. Revolutionary transport solutions, tallest city landmarks, groundbreaking museums, souks, and malls glam up the list. Here’s a quick run-through.

Flying Taxis—Looks Surreal and Mythical

Even if it sounds unrealistic, the flying taxis will soon be launched in Abu Dhabi. Archer, the eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) manufacturer from the USA, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADA), is coming up with Midnight Aircraft in the city.   This high-tech project will reduce commute time drastically, decongesting the capital city. This will be a piloted aircraft that can carry four passengers. Abu Dhabi people are all set to experience the trial run soon in the 2025 summer months.

Franck Muller Aeternitas Tower—Where Comfort Blends with Luxury

From the tallest hotel and buildings to the tallest frameworks, Dubai has it all. This year, Dubai is set to create another record with the launch of the Franck Muller Aeternitas Tower. This will be the city’s first-ever residential clock tower and the world’s tallest residential clock tower. Nestled in the Dubai Marina, this 450-meter-high high-rise will enhance Dubai’s skyline. Launched in collaboration with Franck Muller, the renowned Swiss watch manufacturer, and London Gate, the prominent Dubai-based developer, this clock tower will feature luxury apartments overlooking the picturesque Palm Jumeirah.

Natural History Museum—A Perfect Place for Time Travel

Planned to be established on Al Saadiyat Island—the buzzing cultural district of the city, the Natural History Museum plans to showcase exhibits about the history of the Earth. It will also feature full-skeletal reconstructions of long-extinct creatures, such as Diplodocus in the London Museum. Visitors will be enthralled with the immersive 13.8 billion years ago time-travel experience through AV simulation.

Burj Azizi—Ultimate Place for Indulgence

Another mega project investment worth USD 1.5 billion is Burj Azizi. This wonderful landmark on Sheikh Zayed Road will be ready by 2028 and will be known as the world’s second-tallest building. This residential-cum-commercial haven will have 131 floors with multiple saunas, steams, spas, swimming pools, gyms, supermarkets, movie theatres, kid’s play areas, and restaurants.

The building will also have a ritzy seven-star hotel designed in Chinese, Arabic, Indian, Persian, French, and Russian themes. The world’s highest nightclub on the 126th floor, the highest observation deck on the 130th floor, the highest hotel room on the 118th floor, and the highest restaurant on the 122nd floor will be the wow factors.

Velodrome—One of Its Kind

This year, Abu Dhabi will also showcase Velodrome—the first-ever UCI Category 1 indoor cycling track. This will turn out to be the premium place to host track-based tournaments and championships. The rooftop 600-meter cycling track will come up as the showstopper. This track, rising from the external walls, will overlook the panoramic view of Abu Dhabi’s skyline.

These mega projects look futuristic and promising. Embracing innovation and development for the UAE, these projects will take the country’s urban development to the next level.
