Sheikh Hamdan leads the record-setting Dubai Run 2024

278,000 residents, visitors from diverse backgrounds join celebration of well-being

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum led thousands of residents who took part in the Dubai Run 2024 in Dubai on Sunday morning.

Dubai: 278,000 community members from all walks of life transformed Sheikh Zayed Road into the world’s largest and most iconic running track by participating in a record edition of Dubai Run today morning.

The event, led by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, was a celebration of health and well-being.

278,000 runners. Thank you Dubai for making a lifetime of memories,” Sheikh Hamdan posted on his X account, sharing a video of the Run.  The tally represents a 23 per cent increase from last year’s edition.
